Background
Through the Braven Accelerator, our 4-person team tackled a real challenge for United Airlines: improve the economy passenger experience without increasing costs. Over 14 weeks, we worked with corporate mentors to develop a solution that balanced customer satisfaction with profitability.
Core problem
Economy passengers drive United's revenue but report lower satisfaction. The airline needed a cost-effective way to enhance their experience without expensive upgrades or cannibalizing premium cabin sales.
We created eCabinPlus, a gamified rewards program where passengers earn perks through simple actions like trivia, reviews, and social sharing. Passengers get tangible rewards (seat upgrades, lounge access, bonus miles), while United gains customer data and organic brand promotion.
I led the pitch deck design, ensuring our story was clear and visually aligned with United's brand. The deck walked through our customer research, financial model, and implementation roadmap.
Results and Impact
Our presentation resulted in a 15% increase in leadership engagement compared to other teams. Corporate mentors called the solution "ready to pilot," which validated that strategic thinking paired with strong presentation can make ideas feel credible and actionable.
The biggest lesson? Great ideas need great packaging.
